Lee Tuchfarber has taken a methodical approach to advancing senior living communities since assuming the CEO position at Social Communities (Formerly Renew Senior Communities). His career, rooted in real estate development for assisted living since 2010, transitioned towards redefining management standards in this sector. Tuchfarber’s strategic vision materialized with the development of two communities in Colorado and the formation of a management company focused on elevating care quality and resident engagement.

In response to the uninspiring activities in many assisted living facilities, Tuchfarber initiated the Renew Experiences program. This program introduced advanced workshops, a lecture series on healthy aging, and a superior culinary program. Furthermore, Tuchfarber pursued research partnerships with the University of Denver to bolster the scientific rigor behind the community services.

Tuchfarber also integrated social and emotional wellness into his communities through intergenerational activities, local artist-led craft workshops, and a dementia care equine program in partnership with a nearby ranch, thereby enhancing resident life and community integration.

These initiatives have not only improved the living standards within his communities but have also attracted significant media attention, positioning his communities as thought leaders in the sector.
